Company Timeline

1967: The original Sine Products Company was started in 1967 by its founders, James and Alma VanCamp.

1969: Their very first product, a part locating sensor called a Die Probe, was marketed to the Big Three and by 1969, The Sine Products Company was prospering.

1970: In 1970, General Motors was the first to grant Sine approval to produce electrical interconnect assemblies for their industrial controls and machine tools - Sine was on its way to becoming a force to be reckoned with in cable and connector circles.

1975: By 1975, The Sine Products Company had expanded its operation from 6,000 sq. ft. to 10,000 sq. ft. and during 1976, a new industrial grade, multi-pin electrical connector series was in development. These electrical connectors would become the A-Line connector series and one year later would receive wide spread approval at General Motors, Ford Motor Company and Chrysler Corporation.

1980’s: During the 1980's, Sine's sales, employee numbers and square footage continued to grow and a new organization called The Sine Electro-Mold company would be established to focus on the pour urethane and injection molding services many of Sine's customers required.

1986: In 1986, Sine experienced a dramatic increase in growth and well into the 1990's continued to thrive and reach far beyond its traditional markets by redefining and developing products and services that continue to meet the ever changing demands of its customers.

1996: In 1996, The Sine Companies, Inc., having maintained its reputation as a well respected manufacturer and distributor of connectors and engineered cable assemblies, was approached by Amphenol Corporation. Amphenol began preliminary negotiations in early 1996 concluding with the acquisition of Sine Systems. Pyle-National, having been acquired by Amphenol Corporation two years prior is also a member of the Amphenol family. The acquisition between The Sine Companies, Inc. and Amphenol Corporation was finalized in September of 1996, thus resulting in the new name of

Amphenol Sine Systems Pyle Connectors Corporation.

2000: Amphenol Sine Systems / Pyle Connectors Corporation becomes Amphenol Sine Systems.

2007: Amphenol Sine Systems has been placed within the IMA&I Group, a division of Amphenol Corporation, which specializes in International Military Aerospace & Industrial applications.  In addition to their previous interconnect capabilities and responsibilities, Amphenol Sine Systems is now part of the division that is responsible for creating a diversified presence in high-growth segments of the interconnect market, specifically Military, Aerospace and Industrial applications.
